My Targets

Exam Targets:

• Purpose of technical conventions of social realism: i.e. to create social realism, create empathy for the under-represented.
• Sin City: know the time of the period its set in, the war, cold war, know in detail and be able to talk about it and link it to sin city.
• when discussing a convention place it into a category of; Technical codes, character roles, mise en scene/iconography or narrative themes i.e. A typical film noir convention is the NARRATIVE represents the time of society that the film is set in.....
• District 9 has documentary features!!!!! - it is not a documentary.
• make sure every convention is linked to a specific scene... 

Create a plan... 

i.e.

Fish Tank -> Social realism -> 3 genre conventions, categorise them into technical codes, character roles, mise en scene/iconography or narrative ->link to specific scene 

... and then the same for Fish Tank but for Representation
